The Indiana Department of Health issued an extension of the temporary COVID waivers pertaining to the physical environment. The Reissued Emergency Orders file can be found here.
The waivers will expire “no earlier than the date the Governor’s Declaration is withdrawn or expires, including any extensions thereof.” This ties the waiver expiration to the Governor’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency.
Changes that have been made at your facilities under the waivers so far where notification was provided to the Indiana Health Department, can remain in use as long as the Governor’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency is in place. Any new temporary changes using the waivers require notification to the State that you are making the change. If there is a desire to make a change permanent, that must go through the normal State plan approval process.
