Richard Parker
Richard Parker is a Life Safety Surveyor for the Accreditation Commission for Health Care’s HFAP program, surveying since 2017 to determine compliance with the CMS Conditions of Participation, NFPA Life Safety Code and Physical Environment standards.
Mr. Parker’s current full time role is as the Executive Director of Facilities for Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. He is an experienced Facilities professional with over 25 years in the Healthcare Facilities Management Industry and has a broad background in the “Heart of the House” departments, including Environmental Services, Laundry & Linen, and Safety & Security.
Mr. Parker maintains certifications as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, a Certified Life Safety Specialist for Healthcare and has the distinction of being a Fellow with the American Society for Healthcare Engineering and a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. He serves on his local ASHE Chapter board as the Treasurer.
Mr. Parker holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix, and a Master’s degree from Belhaven University.
