The Biomedical Equipment Technician repairs and maintains equipment including electronic circuitry. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory of spare parts, test equipment and tools. The Biomedical Equipment Technician also fabricates/modifies medical equipment. This position also works with the Information Security Officer to understand HIPAA and ePHI requirements and ensures compliance for Biomedical Engineering staff.
- Associate’s or vocational degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or related technology field
- AAMI certification preferred
- Relevant information technology certifications/training preferred (e.g. A+/Net+, MCSE/MCSA, CCNA/CCDP/CCIE, CNE, PMI/PMP, CCSA, etc.)
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational and certification requirements
- Must hold a valid Indiana driver’s license that meets Eskenazi Health’s driving policy requirements
