ISHE is celebrating 50 years of serving its members as a society of excellence in Healthcare Engineering. Join in as we celebrate. RSVP now for a great ISHE meeting and time of fellowship. The ISHE Northern and Southern Districts will meet together in the 1st floor auditorium of the Technology Building on the Vincennes University Campus, Vincennes, IN on Friday April 2. See the photo at the top of this page for a view of the facilities. The program will consist of a presentation by Professor Don Williams about the Biomedical Electronics Program at VU, a discussion of staffing issues for healthcare engineering led by Tim Adams and a tour of the technology building classrooms and labs. Registration and coffee will begin at 8:00 am and the program will begin at 9:00. Lunch will be provided.

A golf outing and cookout has been planned for Thursday April 1 for those that can come. Lodging will be on your own for those desiring to spend the night.

T-time for golf will be 12:00 at Fox Ridge. The cost for golf will be $21 including the cart. Those that want can meet at the coarse for lunch and then tee off at 12:00. Following the golf outing, there will be a cookout. It is April Fools Day, so anything could happen!!! Rumor has it that they may even let Tim drive a golf cart. Stay tuned for details.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend a special ISHE Spring meeting, hosted once again by our friends at Hillrom. We are planning for a time of celebration in honor the ISHE’s 50th Anniversary. See upcoming publications and e-mails for details.
 

Two college scholarships in the amount of $1000 each are available to the children or grandchildren of ISHE members. These scholarships are available, one to the Northern District and one to the Southern District in accordance with the ISHE Scholarship guidelines.

The ISHE scholarship program was initiated several years ago to support the children and grandchildren of ISHE members who are pursuing post secondary education in the fields of engineering and technology. Those wishing to apply may fill out a simple application form and submit the form along with a tape recording prepared by the applicant, introducing themselves and talking about their education plans.
