As a new member benefit, ISHE has created a "Job Postings" page on the ISHE web site, www.isheweb.org. You'll find the job postings under the "Resources" tab.

Members may post position openings on the web site at no charge. To submit a posting, use the "Contact Us" form on the web site, choosing the subject of "Job Postings."

Highlights of job postings will also be periodically carried in ISHE E-Issues to help members gain a feel for the current industry economic climate.

In discussions with fellow professionals over the past 25 years, Steve Thurston has been struck by the similarity of problems between facilities that should seemingly have nothing in common. Recognizing the mutual support that facilities professionals could give each other, he created the Indiana Facilities Roundtable to solve these common problems. The mission of the Indiana Facilities Roundtable is to facilitate education, networking and the exchange of information among facilities professionals.

If you think you've heard of something like this before, you haven't. There are three reasons why the Indiana Facilities Roundtable is different:

  1. It's not affiliated with any organization, association, or company.
  2. There is no hidden agenda, bias, or skew to the roundtable. While there will be a focus for each meeting, the roundtable is beholden to no one other than those participants that show up for the 90 minutes of information sharing.
  3. There is no barrier to entry. The roundtable welcomes facilities professionals at any level, so long as they have a need to learn and are willing to share their successes and frustrations. There are no dues. This is a cooperative venture, which means only that you need to participate by listening and sharing.

Learn more about the Indiana Facilities Roundtable now at their web site, www.facilitiesroundtable.org. Then make plans for the first meeting which takes place Wednesday August 18, 2004 @ 7:30 a.m. at Safety Management Group, 1435 Chase Court, Carmel Indiana 46032. The featured speaker will be Randy Gieseking. More information is available at the web site.

Let Steve know you will be attending by sending an email to info@facilitiesroundtable.org. There is no charge, but you'll need to reserve your seat.  See you there!

We look forward to another great conference this fall at the Crown Plaza in Indianapolis November 9 – 11. Vendors are reserving their booth spaces and a fine educational program is planned. We look forward to a sold out vender show excellent education, continued celebration of ISHE’s 50 years and if there are enough requests, perhaps Karen and the boys can be persuaded to sing a number or two.

Long time ISHE member Ron Pitcock announced his resignation at Hendricks Regional Healthcare after 27 years of service. Ron has accepted a position with a hospital in Mesa, Arizona. He and his wife will be relocating there shortly. Rusty Rozelle and Tim Adams attended a farewell celebration for Ron at the hospital and presented him with a certificate of appreciation. We wish Ron and his family the very best. Ron asked that we express his appreciation to the ISHE members for the many friendships and support they have provided over the years. Ron also indicated that if you would like to contact him, the Engineering Department at Hendricks Regional Healthcare will have his contact information.

We wish Ron and his family the very best in this new endeavor.
