We
would like to thank Vincennes University and Professor
Don Williams for hosting the Spring
Northern and Southern District Meeting. It was interesting
to see what is available for students at Vincennes University
in the various areas of technology. The university provides
a wide range of educational opportunities. Their Biomedical
Technology program is one of the top programs available,
with a very high placement rate for graduates. The University
also offers many other technology degrees including electronics,
computers and networking, aviation, and machining technology.
We have developed a unique partnership as we work together
to provide the facilities, equipment and curriculum to train
technicians of the future.
We also
would like to thank John Borinstein and Stevens Industries
for providing a fine
steak dinner after we braved the cold
on the golf course. The bus that they brought has various
products on display that they can provide. If you have
not had an opportunity
to visit the Stevens Bus, they will be at the Midwest Healthcare
Engineering Conference in November, or contact Jon Borinstein
at 317-322-7915 to arrange a visit.
There
will be pictures of the golf adventure available at the
spring meeting for
your viewing and entertainment pleasure.
Someone should have told Ron Shake that it is very difficult
to cut a load of wood with a golf club and Mike, did you
find
mushrooms down in the bottom of that hollow, or were you
looking for something else?
