Sodexo Healthcare Facility Solutions, a world wide leader in outsourced facilities management seeks a highly motivated individual for a Director of Engineering 2 opportunity in Lafayette, IN.
As a Director of Engineering 2, you will oversee the daily operations of the maintenance and plant operations department of a 200 bed, high profile, acute care hospital. Daily operations include; customer service, staff development, regulatory compliance (HFAB, JCAHO, NFPA, IDPH standards, etc.), preventive and corrective maintenance, project management, master facility planning, and the department operating & capital budgets, management of the physical plant, electrical delivery systems, medical gas delivery systems, emergency generators, and physical plant troubleshooting. Candidate will also manage the engineering staff including Operations Managers, Tradespersons, day laborers, electricians, painters, plant engineers, general contractors, journeymen and electrical engineers. Other duties include participating in the general safety of the hospital. Position also supervises general contractors hired to assist the hospital with renovations, new construction or any modifications to the existing structure(s).
Ideal candidates will possess:
- 3-5 years experience in managing engineering - maintenance department in a healthcare organization
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems
- CHFM is a plus
